You are so right about this. This is also the case in parochial schools. The White students at the Catholic HS I attended in Chicago were all coddled and praised by the White teachers, even those who were the biggest clowns in class. The Latino and Black kids had to be extraordinary to get any attention whatsoever from the faculty, the rest were just ignored.
