Unfortunately, mid-managers, the real corporate gatekeepers, are allowed to hire and fire people as they see fit. And usually POC are the last to be hired and first to be fired. We must find a way to make sure this horrible tradition is ended immediately, so that Black employees are at least given a fair start in their careers.
