This happens everywhere. A few years back a White manager at a very well known healthcare organization that I worked at was heard saying the n word. The witnesses immediately reported her to HR. But the case was soon closed with no repercussions. I asked the HR director, who was also White, why nothing substantial was done about this racist act. He responded that he didn't want to tarnish the racist woman’s long career with the company. So much for the organization’s policy of having “zero” tolerance for racism in any form.
