These so called “hispanos” have never been considered white and are not even considered Spanish by any Spaniard or European. They think of themselves in this way to mask their deep insecurities, but it hasn’t gotten them anywhere. They are still discriminated against and lag behind whites in all social markers, just like any other minority.
