These CDO’s have no real power. I worked at a place recently, where the director of my department let go all the African American women on his team in one fell swoop during COVID layoffs. This firm had a CDO, but nothing was said or done about this racist mid-level boss’s unjust terminations. It’s all show for these corporations.
