Of course there’s nothing wrong with moving! I’m a longtime San Francisco resident myself. This is a humor/satire site, and 700 words is not enough to encompass all of the economic nuance of the situation. It’s just for fun!

It's about respect. A lot of people move to a new place and show respect to the people who already live there. Californians have the reputation of not doing that. The other group that gets a bad rap is New Yorkers. But no one ever complains about people from the Midwest moving into the neighborhood...
