Inspired to Change the Workplace for the Better, for All
In my career, I have experienced some decent workplaces, and I am grateful for them. But I have also been exposed to some completely dysfunctional work environments. The latter caused a great deal of stress, angst, and anxiety. These situations were not only personally harmful to me and others, but also quite damaging to the organizations that allowed these adverse conditions to fester for far too long. Because of these experiences I have become committed to improving our workplaces across the board.
I’m very proud to announce that I just published a book “Enlightened Management: Insights on Creating a Respectful, Dignified, and Successful Work Environment,” on Amazon. It began with the insight that none of us deserves to be mistreated at work, ever. In talking to others, I realized that most people, at one time or another, have felt the sting of unskilled management.
Managing people is a huge responsibility and should always be taken seriously. In my book, I showcase the fundamentals of managing, but more importantly, I show how managers can have a long-lasting, positive effect on those they work with. Treating people with respect and dignity is always the right thing to do and it is essential for a healthy future at any company. I give examples of enlightened managers in action and guidance on how to become and an enlightened manager.
Enlightened Management will make you see work life in a different light, one where respect, empathy, trust, fairness, and transparency can lead to a better world. This book is for anyone who has longed for a more meaningful way of working together.
