Hate, petty jealousy, divisiveness, propaganda, and sheer ignorance never allows for Americans to have basic human essentials like universal healthcare, solid infrastructure, child care, or fair taxation. In my view, it is a sin to have so much and not to share the wealth with one’s own fellow citizens.
