Enlightenment is what the powers that be fear most in a society. As we can see today, ignorance has a grip on our country never seen before, which is keeping us all in the dark. Higher education should be a right we must value it and make it a priority. Throughout the centuries African-Americans knew knowledge was the key and they never gave up their pursuit of if, no matter how perilous. Thank goodness for HBCUs.
