At one of my previous corporate jobs, I met a young man straight out of college who complained to me about his huge student loan debt. I told him that he should vote for Democrats because they were trying to legislate loan forgiveness. He gave me a blank stare and then shook his head no. He went on to say that he was a staunch capitalist and believed that one day he'd make enough money to wipe his debt clean. This is how delusional many Americans are.
