Americans need to stop their blind patriotism and acknowledge that although there are many wonderful things about our country, we are nowhere near being that “perfect union.” We can always learn from others to keep striving to make the US a great country for all of its citizens. We must also come to accept that individual rights are essential but never at the expense of the wellbeing of the majority.
